Guatemala Student Service Project

A 2-Week Summer Service Project for Students

Fraser Lands Church has sent a student team to Guatemala for the last nine years. Each year the students return with a greater sense of God-given purpose to help and meet the needs of the poor, and the mistreated, as modeled by Jesus Christ himself.

The main purpose for this service project is to join in partnership with the charitiable organization, EDUPAVI Canada (www.edupavi.ca) as they work with local Guatemalan relief organizations in the town of Zaragoza, 1.5 hours west of Guatemala City. Their work consists of building connections with local children and teenagers in Zaragoza, many who come from poor families who can’t afford education for their children. Through the tutoring program Educando Para La Vida operates, children will receive good education, both in academics and practical life skills as well as a nutritious meal.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Guatemala Student Service Project will be on hold until further notice.
