Two Whirlwind Trips to Lytton
Within a span of four days, we made two trips to Lytton. On March 30 a team of 11 members in 5 vehicles made a delivery trip to Lytton (Skuppah Relief Centre and Lytton Resiliency Centre) and conducted a technol clinic to help people with their computers and smartphones. We also brought along a hairdresser to do haircuts. Both activities were big hits, and our schedule was overwhelmed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. We ended up staying there until past 4 p.m. Even the Mayor of Lytton showed up to get help from Paul - our computer expert. Some brought a picture to show the type of haircut they wanted. Our hairdresser Lola was working nonstop without a lunch break! What love and dedication! On April 2 another team of 11 members travelled to Kumsheen Rafting Resort to serve at a reunion BBQ organized by Two Rivers Community Service Society. The weather was perfect and the turn out was great with over 200 people arriving from Ashcroft, Kamloops, Merritt, Lillooet, and Camp Hope. We served over 180 hamburgers and 150 hot dogs non-stop. The highlight of the day was meeting up with many Lyttonites. Some we have met through the previous trips we made to Lytton and Camp Hope. Others are new people who have heard about our relief efforts. For more infomation visit: http://fraserlands.ca/news/help-for-lytton-update-april-15-2022
