We can express the love of God in concrete and tangible ways. This year we are inviting small groups, families, and individuals to sponsor Christmas Hampers in support of two ministry areas.

"Help for Lytton" and "Vancouver Urban Ministries (VUM)"

You can choose to support one or both. Please join us in supporting these ministries and the families they serve.

Help for Lytton...Christmas is Coming

Lytton Christmas Hampers 2024
It is late October, so that means Christmas is just around the corner. Since the fire in 2021, we have provided Christmas Hampers to Lytton every Christmas. This year we are again inviting small groups, fellowship groups, families, and individuals to sponsor and prepare Christmas Hampers for Lytton. Cost of each hamper is $120. This year our goal is to prepare 50 hampers. You will be assigned a specific family for the preparation of your hamper. A general description of the family will be provided to you when you sign up for the hamper.

Each hamper is a tangible way to express God’s love and our care for the community. We want to bring the families something special for their holiday celebration. Please prayerfully consider getting involved and note the following:

1. Pick up a hamper box, instruction list and Christmas Card from the church before November 24th.
2. Prepare and decorate the hamper according to the guidelines and the general description of the family assigned.
3. The deadline for dropping off completed Christmas Hampers is Sunday December 1, 2024.
4. The hampers will be delivered to Lytton during the first week of December.

If you want to sponsor a hamper by donating money, please contact one of the hamper team members directly. We will prepare the hamper for you. However, your cash donation is NOT tax receipt-able.

VUM is a ministry that helps break the cycle of poverty that exists in our city. They provide a number of strategic services, like 1-1 tutoring and musical education, so children can have a good start to their education. Website: myvum.ca

We are grateful for your generosity in supporting the VUM Christmas Hampers. Christmas 2024 will continue to present a significant challenge for low-income families due to rising costs. This year, your love, generosity, and kindness are just as important as in previous years to ensure that families will have a joyful Christmas. We are inviting you to bless as many families as you can with hampers this year.
