This series, titled "Heart & Justice: The Roar and the Return," bridges the gap between our public ethics and our private devotion. In this 12 week series we will spend 12 weeks exploring the Minor Prophets Amos and Hosea.
Part 1: The Roar of Justice (Amos). We confront the "Crime of Comfort." In a culture that often equates material blessing with God’s approval, Amos reminds us that privilege equals responsibility. We’ll look at how "winter and summer houses" can blind us to the needs of the marginalized and why God values righteousness over religious performance.
Part 2: The Ache of Grace (Hosea). We shift from the courtroom to the home. Through the scandalous metaphor of Hosea’s marriage, we explore Hesed—God’s relentless, covenant loyalty. We will move beyond "knowing about" God to a deep, relational intimacy that survives even our greatest wanderings.
Join us as we learn that the God who adamantly opposes injustice is the same Father who gently teaches His children to walk.
