Help for Lytton Fire Evacuees Update - August 27, 2021

We made our fourth delivery on Saturday August 21, 2021, with two separate trips to Merritt and Lytton. The trip to Merritt was conducted by 6 brothers from Capstan Alliance Church with three vehicles. The trip to Lytton also had three vehicles involving three couples from Capstan Alliance and Fraser Lands. We visited Skuppah Fire Relief Centre and had lunch with the people there including many firefighters who were engaged in a severe fire down the road from the Relief Centre the night before. During our visit to Stein Valley Nlakapamux School, we were given a guided tour of the school that teaches Indigenous heritage and culture in their curriculum.

We are continuing our work with Richmond Capstan Alliance Church to collect and deliver supplies to the fire evacuees in the coming months on a regular basis. Please continue to support us with your donation. Our next scheduled delivery is planned for Sunday September 5th to Merritt and Friday September 10th to Lytton. In Merritt, we will visit Somang Mission Community and join their worship in the afternoon, followed by dinner.
