If I only had one opportunity to speak with you, what would I say?
I would want to tell you about Jesus, and what he means to me. I would want to say that Following God isn’t as complicated as it’s made out to be and that the highest calling and most worthy pursuit is to seek after God’s heart.

Passion
Martinique is not a popular tourist destination to North Americans, but more Europeans are attracted to this paradise emerging from the eastern Caribbean Sea.  Before their retirement some of our missionary friends connected us with the Chinese Alliance Church there and we started visiting and falling in love with Martinique before the pandemic.  This is our third visit and it will be an eight-week ministry period, caring for this fold of sheep that is without a resident shepherd.  

Thanksgiving
- The airline pilots’ potential job action was averted and there was no disruption to our itinerary.
- God is gracious - we have enjoyed relatively good health. He is enabling us to keep on travelling and serving Him overseas.

Prayer
- We need more prayers than ever as we endured such obvious spiritual warfare during our past visits.
- Pray that the lay leaders will be strengthened and encouraged after months of holding down the fort without a shepherd.
- We need love to round up the lost sheep who disappeared from church during the pandemic years.
- We will be in Martinique during the end of the hurricane season. We don’t want you to see us featured on a TV news broadcast about such an event.

We thank the Lord for answering our prayers as we have Rev. Joseph Chan (known as Pastor Joe) as our candidate for English Congregation Pastor.  On Sunday, October 6, Pastor Joe will be preaching at our 11am English Worship Service. Following the service, Pastor Joe and his wife, Monique, will meet our congregations for a Q&A session at 1:00pm.

You will have until October 13, 2024 to provide any feedback or comments to the Elders Board as we finalize our decision. You can email your feedback or comments to the Senior Pastor at abe@fraserlands.ca. We value your prayers and input as we discern and seek together God's will for His church.

Pizza lunch will be available at 12:30pm, prior to the Q&A session with the candidate on Sunday, October 6th at 1pm. 

Cost per meal (2-3 slices of pizza): $5

Set Free Weekend focuses on learning how to deal with the hurts, hang-ups and struggles that we all face on a daily basis and come to a place of freedom inside our hearts from the past, through listening prayer, confession and learning about the power of the cross.

FunFest is a safe and fun alternative for children on Halloween Night. This is our annual carnival filled with games, prizes, and food for kids 12 and under. A spectacular evening that your children will be sure to enjoy!

- 1 full time adult leader in T&T Jr
- 1 full time adult leader in T&T Sr
As a leader, your role is to help children in memorizing God's Word, teaching lessons, and building relationships through games time, council time, and conversations. Please contact Pastor Becky (becky@fraserlands.ca) if you are interested.

Sunday Parking Reminder
On Sundays, the upper parking lot is reserved for first time visitors, parents with babies/toddlers (up to age 3), people who have limited mobility, handicap parking, and drop off/pick up.
