"Strengthened to Stand"

As we continue our "Centred in Christ: One Church, One Hope" series, we see that the Apostle Paul calls us to stand in God's strength. Clothed in the complete armour of God, empowered by His Spirit, and grounded in prayer we are strengthened to stand firm in life's battles.

The Connect Cafe Ministry held its 7th Newcomers Welcome Luncheon on November 2nd, 2025. This fun-filled event was attended by 68 people in total, of which 31 were newcomers.

Central to the CCNWL event were the themes of family and building community, which were echoed in the personal life stories shared by two of our FLC family members and three newcomers. Some reasons mentioned for making FLC their home church include the following: spaces created to encourage personal and spiritual growth and transformation rooted in Holy Scripture and faith; a warm, loving, friendly and welcoming community; and many opportunities to get involved in a variety of small groups, ministries, programs, and/or events... MOMENTUM will be having their once-a-month sports get-together for men in the Multi-Purpose Room this Sunday November 16th. Men of all ages are welcome to attend and participants are encouraged to invite a friend! We'll be playing pickleball. 

Join us as we gather for worship, reflection, personal prayer time, and corporate prayer for important needs and issues. Let us come together to give thanks, pray for the world, our city, our church, and for each other.

Lunch will be available beforehand at 12:30pm in the Banquet Room for those staying for the Prayer Summit. Please sign up for lunch below by Wednesday November 26th. You are also welcome to join us in the Banquet Room if you prefer to bring your own lunch.

Come and experience our "Christmas Wonder" event. We'll be having photo stations set up around the different Christmas tree areas where our designated photographers will take Christmas family photos. In addition, we'll have other family friendly fun activities like Christmas crafts, delicious baked treats & hot chocolate at our cozy Winter Cafe, live music, caricatures, games, prize draws, and more. Registration is required. Registration deadline is November 30, 2025 or until spots are filled up, whichever comes first.

We can express the love of God in concrete and tangible ways. We are inviting small groups, families, and individuals to sponsor Christmas Hampers in support of two ministry areas.

We will be collecting a special offering for year-end thanksgiving from November 30 - December 28th. Please indicate "year-end thanksgiving" when you give.

Sunday Parking Reminder
On Sundays, the upper parking lot is reserved for first time visitors, parents with babies/toddlers (up to age 3), people who have limited mobility, handicap parking, and drop off/pick up.
