Serving Opportunities at Children's Ministry

Teachers 

When? 

•  9:15am Sunday School (9:15am-10:15am)
• 11am Nursery Teacher (11 am-12:15 pm)
• 11AM Preschool-Kindergarten Teacher (11 am-12:15 pm)
• 11AM Kidz Church Teacher (11 am-12:15 pm) 

Who can volunteer? 

• Volunteers who are in teaching positions and in leadership in ministries need to be a member of Fraser Lands Church. 
• Those who are interested in teaching children in the nursery (newborn to 3 years old), Pre-K (3–5-year-olds) and/or Grade School (Grades 1-6). 

What are the roles?

• Supervise children and classroom management during class with the helper.
• Prepare and teach the Bible story and lead the crafts/activities for the appropriate age group.
• Help children learn and understand to apply the Bible truths. 

Helpers in Classrooms 

When? 

•  9:15 am Sunday School Helper (9:15 am-10:15 am)
• 11 am Nursery Helper (11 am-12:15 pm)
• 11 am Preschool-Kindergarten Helper (11 am-12:15 pm)
• 11 am Kidz Church Helper (11 am-12:15 pm) 

Who can volunteer? 

Those who are interested to help and assist the teachers in different age groups in the nursery (newborn to 3 years old), Pre-K (3–5-year-olds) and/or Grade School (Grades 1-6). 

What are the roles?

• Help with checking in and checking out the children.
• Set up the classroom before class and clean up classroom after class.
• Supervise children and classroom management during class.
• Helping teacher with any hands-on activities in class.

AWANA 

When?

Meet on Saturday from September to June at 7 pm to 9 pm.

Who can volunteer? 

Those who are interested to be Awana leaders.  

What are the roles?

As a leader, your role is to help council children in memorizing God's word, teaching lessons and building relationships through games time, council time and conversations.  

Worship Leaders 

When?

• 9:15 am Sunday School
• 11 am Sunday worship and Kidz Church

Who can volunteer? 

Those who are gifted and talented to lead singing (and playing an instrument to lead) for children who are in Pre-K to Grade School.  

What are the roles?

To lead children in joyful worship and discovering why we worship and how to worship our Lord. 

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

When? 

• August 12-16, 2024 from 9:15 am-12:15 pm

What area(s) can I help to volunteer in? 

• Group Leader - moving with kids from station to station and engaging with the children in your group
• Craft Station Leader - plan, prepare and lead the crafts to appropriate age group (Preschool or Grade School) 
• Craft Station Helper - assisting the craft leader with crafts and helping the kids as they make their crafts
• Snacks - helping put together snacks each day
• Bible Adventure Teachers - prepare and teach the Bible story to the appropriate age group each day 
• Bible Adventure Station Helper - assisting the Bible teacher with teaching the Word of God to the kids
• Games Station Leaders - plan, prepare and lead kid friendly games to the appropriate age group 
• Games Station Helper - assisting the Games leader
• Worship leaders - leading kids in VBS songs and worship throughout the week
• A/V - someone who knows how to use the A/V system and is available to help with sound, lights and powerpoint etc.

I can’t volunteer during VBS week, but would like to help prior to VBS. What can I do?

In June or July, we will need help with…

• Preparation for crafts 
• Preparation for VBS decorations

Kidz Kamp 

When? 

•  June 28 - July 1, 2024
  *Mandatory training will be provided. Date :TBD

Who can volunteer? 

Young adults (must be in first year of university/college) who love working with children, need to be a member of Fraser Lands Church.

What are the roles?

• Supervise kampers entrusted into your care
• Perform various duties required by your Head Kouselor
• Get to know each kamper personally
• Serve as a positive Christian model to kampers in language, actions and attitudes
