Psalm 44:4-13,17-26

One reason we have trouble praying is that we are angry at God. There are things in our life that have gone very wrong and we have spent so much time stewing that our heart is filled with anger, frustration and resentment. So when we come to pray, we simply feel like a fake. We feel we need to bring a presentable self to God. But this is not real. Prayer means bringing the real you, so if you are angry, that's where you must pray. In Psalm 44 we see someone venting at God; this psalm is a sort of spiritual license to bring our real troubles will our real anger to Him.
