Joe was born in Calgary but grew up in Richmond for most of his life. He has been serving in pastoral ministry for over 2 decades in Alberta and BC. He is passionate about equipping leaders, mentoring others, and fostering spiritual growth. He values thoughtful, Christ-centered theology and is committed to building sustainable ministries that reflect Jesus by loving God wholeheartedly and serving people faithfully.
In addition to his pastoral role, Joe volunteers as the Associate Executive Director of English Ministry with the Canadian Chinese Alliance Churches Association (CCACA), focusing on coaching other English Pastors and Congregations in strategic planning, effectiveness, and wellness.
Joe has been married to Monique since 2003, and have 3 kids Caleb, Noah, and Lia. In their spare time, the Chan’s love to hike, paddle and camp. On His own, Joe likes to play guitar and share a conversation over a cup of coffee!
