Born in Hong Kong, Xavier was baptized in the Hephzibah Evangelistic Centre Kwun Tong Church when he was young. In 1991, he accepted the calling from the LORD when he was studying in Edmonton, Canada. After graduating from university in 1996, he entered seminary to be equipped for full-time ministry. He had served in Mennonite Brethren churches in Metro Vancouver for almost 24 years.
Xavier especially has a heart for missions. Besides taking Cross-cultural Ministry as his major in Canadian Theological Seminary, he also went to many places to do short-term missions ministry, such as Canada's Northern Alberta, Northern BC, China, Cambodia, Venezuela, Brazil, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and the Roma People in Ukraine. In recent years, he went to West Africa seven times and participated in the church planting ministry of African churches.
During his leisure time, he loves reading, photography, cycling and hiking.
