Guidelines and tips for parking at Fraser Lands Church

At Fraser Lands Church, we are committed to a warm and welcoming experience for all who join our gatherings, from when you arrive at the church, to when you go on your way.  As you prepare for your visit, here is some information about parking your vehicle at the church.

Parking on Sunday Mornings

Sunday mornings are the busiest times and parking is limited on church property.  It is recommended that attendees arrive early to give ample time to find a spot to park.

Consideration of others is encouraged as attendees of multiple Sunday church gatherings share the parking lot with one another, and share the surrounding street parking with residents of the neighbourhood.  Please consider some of these suggestions:

  • Park your vehicle in available street parking spots if you are able to walk a short distance or planning to stay for multiple gatherings throughout the day.
  • Travel to church by taking public transit, cycling, or walking. (Bike racks are available near the front entrance)
  • Carpool to church with other attendees.
  • Relocate your vehicle to street parking if you are not returning to your vehicle until later in the day.

Reserved Parking Spots

On Sunday mornings, the Upper Parking Lot is strictly reserved for:

  • first time visitors
  • people with limited mobility
  • handicap parking (4 designated stalls - handicap permit must be displayed)
  • families with babies/toddlers (up to age 3)
  • drop off/pick up

There is also a designated drop off/pick up area on SE Marine Drive, adjacent to the Upper Parking Lot entrance.

City traffic bylaws do not permit parking a vehicle:

  • within 5 metres of a fire hydrant
  • within 6 meters of a sidewalk crossing
  • at any place on a street where a traffic sign prohibits parking

Please be considerate of our neighbours and do not park in the residential parking lots.

Please do not use residential parking lot entrances to turn your vehicle around.
