As we come together to recognize the tireless efforts of our missionaries and local ministries, this year's Missions Sunday promises to be an enriching and inspiring event. We will gather on June 22, 2025, to celebrate our shared commitment to outreach and engagement within our community and beyond. It will be a combined worship service starting at 10am with a children’s program (3 to 12 years old) happening concurrently.
We are thrilled to name this year's theme as "Called to Service: A Heart for Mission." It is a day dedicated to fostering our passion for mission work. Pastor Sam Owusu, a dynamic and missional speaker who is the Senior and Founding Pastor of Calvary Worship Centre in Surrey has accepted our invitation to deliver a message of missional engagement. His wife, Pastor Rosemond, will also be with us. With a focus on local missions, we aim to encourage every member of our church to step out in service and embrace the call to mission work.
In addition, representatives from two of our outreach ministries - Lytton and NightShift Street Ministry will join us on that Sunday as we pray for them as a church. A lunch gathering has been arranged that includes an interactive dialogue with them and Leader Impact Global Exchanges. We will also have display tables/booths set up to highlight the work of our missionaries.
Do mark this special Sunday on your calendar and join us for the celebration. Please sign up online or in person for lunch by June 15th. Lunch registration will start on May 18th.
