On November 20, 2021, our delivery trip to Lytton was cancelled because the road to Lytton (Hwy. No.1) was closed due to landslide. Many communities in the province were affected by the rainstorm caused by an atmospheric river on November 15. As a result, supplies to Lytton were further interrupted and Merritt was evacuated because of the flood. We were disappointed that we couldn’t make the delivery trip but turned our attention to the preparation of Christmas Hampers for Lytton and Merritt.
Each Christmas Hamper is a tangible way to express God’s love and our care for the Lytton and Merritt communities. We want to bring the families something special for their holiday celebration and let them know they are in our thoughts and prayers. Response to our Christmas Hampers appeal has been tremendous with donations coming from Metro Vancouver, the US and as far as Toronto and Ottawa. Our plan is to have all the hampers packed and decorated by December 6th and deliver them to Lytton and Merritt on December 11th.
We will also be bringing supplies which have been depleted since closure of the highways. Skuppah Relief Centre has experienced an increase in the demand of supplies in the last two weeks.

Please continue to support us with your prayer and donation. Encourage others to support us too. As usual, our pantry is empty after our last trip. Click here for the latest updates and the list of needed items.
