"Learning to Deal with Bitterness"
Psalm 73:1-17

In Psalm 73 we see someone wrestling with bitterness. Asaph is a religious guy, but he isn't very far in life. All around he sees people that are not good people, but they are succeeding. These people have good careers, they are wealthy, and they are surrounded by friends and family. Asaph feels bitter; he feels that he has wasted his time on God and that God should have helped him more. 

The problem with bitterness is that you are thinking wrong. When we pray God shows us many things, including pockets of selfishness and pride. Into this wrestle, something happens that makes Asaph see that he's been thinking wrong. As we follow God through this narrative we come to a place of wonder.

Whether you have a new teenager and want to see how youth ministries will serve your child, curious about what our focus will be this year, or even looking for some encouragement/prayer as parents in raising a teenager in 2024, we'd love to spend an evening connecting with each other.

Awana restarts in-person on Saturday September 21st. A weekly club for kids ages Preschool to Grade 6. Clubbers focus on memorizing God's Word, participate in exciting games, sing songs, share with one another, do occasional crafts, and build long lasting friendships. Click here for more details.

Prayer Summits are the monthly opportunity to engage in prayer together as a church! Join us as we gather for worship, reflection, personal prayer time, and corporate prayer for important needs and issues.

Lunch will be available beforehand at 12:30pm in the Banquet Room for those staying for the Prayer Summit. Please click below to sign up for lunch. Deadline is Thursday Sept. 26th. If you would like to bring your own lunch, you are welcome to join us in the Banquet Room.

Our last Ministry Trip to Lytton was on Saturday August 31, 2024.  This time we had a team of 54 people including 28 members who made the trip to Lytton for the first time. The weather was cool in the morning but became sunny and hot during the day.

This is the 20th Anniversary of the River Festival, and the event was held in the village centre for the first time since the devastating fire that destroyed the village in June 2021. People were excited to return to the village and witnessed several buildings under construction.

Set Free Weekend focuses on learning how to deal with the hurts, hang-ups and struggles that we all face on a daily basis and come to a place of freedom inside our hearts from the past, through listening prayer, confession and learning about the power of the cross.

Connect Café is hosting a Newcomers Welcome Luncheon on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 1pm to 3pm at Fraser Lands Church in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR). Lunch is free for newcomers. 

All newcomers who have been attending Fraser Lands Church at any time between January 2024 to the present and have not attended the last Connect Cafe Newcomers Welcome Luncheon, are welcome to attend. Please click below for more info and to register.

Looking for an Area to Serve?
Children's Ministry - Awana is looking for a few more adult leaders:
- 1 adult leader in Sparks
- 1 full time adult leader in T&T Jr
- 1 full time adult leader in T&T Sr
As a leader, your role is to help children in memorizing God's Word, teaching lessons, and building relationships through games time, council time, and conversations. Please contact Pastor Becky (becky@fraserlands.ca) if you are interested.

Sunday Parking Reminder
On Sundays, the upper parking lot is reserved for first time visitors, parents with babies/toddlers (up to age 3), people who have limited mobility, handicap parking, and drop off/pick up.
