Who Is This?
"Jesus is Lord"

What do we mean when we declare that "Jesus is Lord"? Though it was a common title used by the early Christians it is not often used in the gospel of Mark to illuminate Jesus' identity. However, in one key passage, Mark 12, Jesus cites Psalm 110 and indicates the title is essential to grappling with His identity. Jesus' argument is the Lord must be both the master (the one who we obey) and God Himself. This passage is the clearest claim to divinity Jesus makes in the gospel.

Connect Cafe Ministry held its 5th Newcomers Welcome Luncheon post Covid on November 3, 2024. The fun-filled event was attended by 63 people in total, including (34) newcomers, pastors, elders and their spouses, members, staff and the Connect Cafe Team. As always, the personal "Connect Stories" touched the hearts of many who were in attendance. Here is a short excerpt from one of the many remarkable messages shared at the event: A Nigerian family who recently became members at FLC mentioned, "When we took our two boys to Kidz Church, they were greeted by the sound of children singing a Nigerian worship song titled "Yeshua Hamashiach" by Nathaniel Bassey. Was it a coincidence? We like to think it was a beautiful sign that we were meant to be here. The genuine interest and kindness of people at FLC made us feel right at home." On Sunday November 17th at 1pm-3pm, MOMENTUM is hosting this month's sports get-together for men in the Multi-Purpose Room. All men are welcome to attend and are encouraged to invite a friend! This Sunday will be pickleball. No experience necessary. Space is limited. If you are interested in participating, please sign up below.

Prayer Summits are the monthly opportunity to engage in prayer together as a church! Join us as we gather for worship, reflection, personal prayer time, and corporate prayer for important needs and issues.  

Let us come together to give thanks, pray for the world, our city, our church, and for each other.

Lunch will be available beforehand at 12:30pm in the Banquet Room for those staying for the Prayer Summit. Please click below to sign up for lunch. Deadline is Thursday Nov. 21st. If you would like to bring your own lunch, you are welcome to join us in the Banquet Room.

Come and experience our "Christmas Wonder" event. We'll be having photo stations set up around the different Christmas tree areas where our designated photographers will take Christmas family photos. In addition, we'll have other family friendly fun activities like a Christmas craft and ornament making area, snacks & refreshments at our Christmas Cafe, prize draws, and more. Registration is required. Registration deadline is Dec. 1, 2024 OR until spots are filled up, whichever comes first.

We can express the love of God in concrete and tangible ways. This year we are inviting small groups, families, and individuals to sponsor Christmas Hampers in support of two ministry areas.

Sunday Parking Reminder
