"Be Ready"
Matthew 24:45-25:13

Jesus answers the question about the 'end of the age' (Matt. 24:3) by talking about the day when 'your Lord will come" (Matt. 24:42). Like much of his teaching, Jesus doesn't speak about this day directly, but with parables. In this section (Matt. 24:36–25:13) he gives parables with the same basic idea. You don't know when the Lord will come, so you should always be ready (Matt. 24:44). 

Your vision of the future determines the way you live today. For many people, the lack of a vision for the future also determines the way they live. Jesus is warning us that it is easy to live with no regard for the future second coming. If we do so, it may seem fine in the present, but there will be unpleasant consequences in the future.

On Monday December 9th, we delivered 51 Christmas Hampers and 9 gift baskets to Lytton. The quality of hampers was excellent and thoughtful. A BIG thank you to all who participated in filling the hampers. The designated recipients will be thrilled when they open the hampers. MOMENTUM is hosting it's once-a-month sports get-together for men this coming Sunday Dec. 15th. All men are welcome to attend and are encouraged to invite a friend! We will be running a court of badminton and a court of pickleball this week! No experience necessary. Space is limited.

"An Evening in December" is a Christmas Eve program featuring Christmas carols, special music, and a short message of hope. All are welcome to this family-friendly event. No tickets required.

Join us on Tuesday, December 24th at 8:00pm either in-person or online via livestream.

Desserts and refreshments will be served after the program.

We are in need of volunteers to prepare and serve at the Dessert Cafe after the Christmas Eve program for "An Evening in December". Roles include set up and take down, preparing and serving cakes, preparing and serving cold drinks and hot chocolate. Click below to sign up to volunteer.

Please note that the church office will be closed from December 25 - 28 and December 30 - January 1. The church will be open Sunday December 29 till 5pm.

Each evening includes a video session on the topic of the evening, private discussion for the couples, and a dessert to share.

- Recognize how upbringing affects your relationship
- Develop greater sexual intimacy

The course runs for 7 Fridays from January 31 to April 4, 2025 (with break weeks on Feb. 14, March 21, 28).
