"The First Disciples: Andrew, the Protoclete"
John 1:35-42; 6:1-15; 12:20-26

Protokletos, which means "the first called." Andrew is known as being the first follower of Jesus. In the Bible, Andrew was a disciple of Jesus Christ, a fisherman by trade, and the brother of Peter. Though not much is written about him, stories in the gospels portray Andrew as a thoughtful and humble leader, eager to follow Jesus, and faithful in bringing others to Christ throughout his life and ministry.

This week is a family worship where children are present for the initial worship time. We are making a tweak for the order of service. The announcements and prayer will be after the worship music, meaning that the worship singing will occur earlier in the service. This change will allow us to dismiss the children earlier. Hopefully, this change will make family worship work better for everyone.

Join us as we gather for worship, reflection, personal prayer time, and corporate prayer for important needs and issues. Lunch will be available beforehand at 12:30pm in the Banquet Room for those staying for the Prayer Summit and have signed up for the lunch. You are also welcome to join us in the Banquet Room if you prefer to bring your own lunch.

If you have ever wondered if God still speaks today or how to hear His voice, then we invite you to join us for the Hearing God Seminar!

Fraser Lands will be holding the "Hearing God Seminar" in February 2025. This six week seminar is a guided journey that helps you learn to listen to the voice of God, and sense His presence. It's highly recommended for anyone wanting to build a closer relationship with God. Registration deadline is this Sunday January 26th.

If you are interested in learning more about baptism or plan to be baptized this coming April on Easter Sunday, please sign up for the class. 

Fraser Lands is hosting a Prayer Ministry Training seminar on February 28–March 2, 2025. Prayer ministry is where we partner with the Holy Spirit's life giving work in a person's life. We have the privilege of hearing God’s voice and watching His Spirit at work in people’s lives.

Jeremy and Carmen Kinniburgh from Threshold Initiatives will be teaching at this three day event on prayer ministry. This event is for anyone who is involved in prayer ministry or interested in prayer ministry, even if you have no experience.

Andy Cheng is currently on a short term missions trip from January 15-27, 2025 to help wrap up the interior renovation work at the Missions Centre for the Atizapan Leon de Juda (Lion of Judah) Alliance Church in Mexico City. Click here for more details and prayer requests.

Fritz Baylen & Nicholas Lai will be joining the LeaderImpact team to Guatemala City for a short term missions trip on Feb. 1-7, 2025. Click here for more details and prayer requests.

Staffing Updates
Due to her health condition, Francesca Chan has resigned from her position as the Children’s Ministry Assistant at FLC. Her last day of ministry will be on January 31, 2025. We would like to thank Francesca for her love & her faithfulness in serving in the Children’s Ministry for the past 7 years. She has been a wonderful blessing to our church! May the Lord bring healing to her health and bless & guide her in the days ahead. Please keep Francesca and her family as well as our Children’s Ministry in your prayers. Thank you so much everyone, may God’s peace be with you.

Sunday Parking Reminder
On Sundays, the upper parking lot is reserved for first time visitors, parents with babies/toddlers (up to age 3), people who have limited mobility, handicap parking, and drop off/pick up. Click here for more info.
