Rev. Joe Chan started his ministry at FLC this week on January 16th, 2025 as our English Congregation Pastor. We would like to extend a warm welcome to Pastor Joe and his family as they join us at Fraser Lands. Here's a message from Pastor Joe.

Dear FLC Family,

I am filled with excitement and gratitude as I step into this new journey with you. It is a true privilege to join this vibrant and diverse community of believers who are passionately seeking to live out God’s calling in this city and around the world. I have always been interested in watching God’s hand at work here—a multi-congregational family united in worship, discipleship, and mission. I am thrilled to become part of this unique expression of God’s kingdom and to serve alongside a dedicated and gifted staff team.

Together, we are embarking on a journey of growth, faith, and transformation. I am hopeful for what God will accomplish as we love Him wholeheartedly, serve one another faithfully, and reach out with compassion to the world around us.

As we begin this new chapter, I look forward to walking with you in prayer, worship, and ministry. My heart is eager to learn from your stories, celebrate your victories, and stand with you through life’s challenges.

Let’s continue to seek God’s leading together and trust that the best is yet to come. I’m excited to see where He takes us in this season ahead!

The Safety and Risk Management Training Seminar is mandatory for all volunteers serving with minors in Children's and Teens Ministry. All new and prospective volunteers are required to take the Full Training Course in person on Sunday January 19th at 1pm. Volunteers who have previously taken the Full Training are required to take the annual Refresher Course. We have a self-directed online course via Google Classroom. Please click below for details.

Join us as we gather for worship, reflection, personal prayer time, and corporate prayer for important needs and issues. Lunch will be available beforehand at 12:30pm in the Banquet Room for those staying for the Prayer Summit. Please click below to sign up for lunch. Deadline is Thursday Jan. 23rd. You are also welcome to join us in the Banquet Room if you prefer to bring your own lunch.

Whether you’ve been married six months or 40 years, whether you’re in a good place or struggling, The Marriage Course offers practical support to strengthen your relationship. Each evening includes a video session on the topic of the evening, private discussion for the couples, and a dessert to share. The course runs for 7 Fridays from January 31 to April 4, 2025 (with break weeks on Feb. 14, March 21, 28). Registration deadline is this Sunday January 19th.

If you have ever wondered if God still speaks today or how to hear His voice, then we invite you to join us for the Hearing God Seminar!

Fraser Lands will be holding the "Hearing God Seminar" in February 2025. This six week seminar is a guided journey that helps you learn to listen to the voice of God, and sense His presence. It's highly recommended for anyone wanting to build a closer relationship with God.

If you are interested in learning more about baptism or plan to be baptized this coming April on Easter Sunday, please sign up for the class. 

Fraser Lands is hosting a Prayer Ministry Training seminar on February 28–March 2, 2025. Prayer ministry is where we partner with the Holy Spirit's life giving work in a person's life. We have the privilege of hearing God’s voice and watching His Spirit at work in people’s lives.

Jeremy and Carmen Kinniburgh from Threshold Initiatives will be teaching at this three day event on prayer ministry. This event is for anyone who is involved in prayer ministry or interested in prayer ministry, even if you have no experience. Please consider signing up.

Staffing Updates
Due to her health condition, Francesca Chan has resigned from her position as the Children’s Ministry Assistant at FLC. Her last day of ministry will be on January 31, 2025. We would like to thank Francesca for her love & her faithfulness in serving in the Children’s Ministry for the past 7 years. She has been a wonderful blessing to our church! May the Lord bring healing to her health and bless & guide her in the days ahead. Please keep Francesca and her family as well as our Children’s Ministry in your prayers. Thank you so much everyone, may God’s peace be with you.

Sunday Parking Reminder
On Sundays, the upper parking lot is reserved for first time visitors, parents with babies/toddlers (up to age 3), people who have limited mobility, handicap parking, and drop off/pick up. Click here for more info.
