"Malachi: The Last Prophet"

Malachi is the last prophet in the Old Testament. His book closes the Old Testament with a challenge. The people of God have once again slipped into covenantal laziness: cynicism, lax morals and half-hearted worship. Malachi enters into an argument with the people of God beginning with the declaration of God's love and ending with the promise of a coming Elijah figure.

The Book of Malachi - Yahweh, the God of Israel, has wonderful plans for His people, even if they feel disheartened by their daily realities. How can they respond to God and regain hope? Come prepared to share some frank discussions between God and His people.

This will be a 6-week series. We will meet in-person Sunday mornings at 9:15am from Sep. 4 to Oct. 9, 2022 in the Banquet Room. All are welcome. Teacher: Peter Wang. Please sign up for the class below. Class starts this Sunday!

This year Fraser Lands is planning to do a "Small Groups Starter Event" on Saturday Sept. 24th at 10am–12:30pm. On that morning people will gather to learn about small groups. We will provide some teaching, followed by a process to organize and then start new trial small groups! At the end of this event you will be placed in a group and even have your first meeting on the morning of Sept 24th.  

These new groups will be a six week trial with a "taste and see" philosophy. After the morning of Sept 24th, we will ask that you commit to your new group for six weeks. In this trial your small group will have the opportunity to see how it goes. We will provide all the materials and resources your new taster group needs to run for this trial period.  

More details about how this will be done will be provided on Sept 24th. If you are hungry for meaningful community and deeper relationships then this small group starter event is for you. The Safety and Risk Management Training Seminar is mandatory for all volunteers serving virtually or in-person with minors in Children's and Teens Ministry. 

Full Training Course:
Sunday, September 11, 2022 | 1:15pm-3pm | Chapel
All new and prospective volunteers are required to take the Full Training course in person.

Refresher Training Course:
Volunteers who have previously taken the Full Training are required to take the annual Refresher Course. This year we will have a self-directed online course via Google Classroom which includes a quiz that must be completed before the deadline of Sept. 25th. Once you receive the invite to the Google Classroom upon sign up, you can take the S&RM Refresher Training Course online anytime prior to Sept. 25th.

Whether you are taking the Full or Refresher Training, please sign up below. The registration deadline is Friday September 9th.

The Children's Ministry (Sunday School & Kidz Church) will resume on Sunday, September 4th at 9:15am & 11am. The Nursery will reopen in person on September 25th. However, during the weeks there are no teachers, the Nursery will be self-service with no supervised volunteers.

Please note that if your child will be attending any of the Children's Ministries events & programs starting in September, you will need to register your child: 2022-2023 Children's Ministry Registration Form

We offer several youth programs throughout the year for all students from Grades 7 to 12. We will be starting our Fall ministry activities soon. Mark your calendars and reserve the date! We will be having an Open House on Saturday October 1st from 11am-3pm. It is a free event for our local communities neighbouring our church. It’s an opportunity for everyone to check out the new space, enjoy some great food, meet the neighbours, and learn more about the various ministries that are available at Fraser Lands.
